A P2 team delivers a plant assessment in three to five days. The team begins the week by meeting department heads for orientation; we then examine flow of information, tooling, materials, and behavior across the plant's processes. On the final day we again meet with the department heads to deliver results through presentation and discussion. A written report follows within a week. It is our habit to share all the opportunities that we observe with the appropriate personnel. The assessment will provide direction for your Lean transformation regardless of your decision to further engage P2 for implementation.

The deliverables of the assessment are:
  • The Rapid Plant Assessment is completed by lean experts with specific feedback on improvement opportunities.
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness calculation on key machine centers with estimated ROI for improvement.
  • Our assessment of the key leverage points for the most rapid cultural improvement based on observation, industry best practices, and interviews with team members.
  • When a deeper understanding of culture is needed to facilitate rapid and lasting change we will administer the Denison Cultural Survey that is tied to the most important business drivers.
  • A prioritized Action Plan. We will map the course for the most rapid bottom-line improvement based on observation, industry best practices, and interviews with team members. We will tell you how to proceed if it were our business.
