What is coaching?
Coaching helps client's leverage their strengths and develop themselves in ways that bring greater effectiveness and satisfaction in their career. Our coaches primarily work with leaders who are transforming their organizations to keep great people, lower production costs, and sustain profitability. Initial coaching meetings are held in-person and most coaching is then conducted over the telephone.

Why chose a P2 coach?
A P2 coach understands the Lean Transformation. Our coaches have completed postgraduate certification through the College of Executive Coaching and can give you leadership, personality style, emotional intelligence or aptitude assessments to help you identify and maximize the benefits of your unique qualities and identify potential areas for development.

Dr. Ellis leads our coaching services. He will either work with you personally or assist you in finding the coach that fits your needs and objectives.

What is Dr Ellis' background?
Scott has advanced degrees in Counseling and Educational Psychology, more than 20 years in manufacturing and other business as well as government and non-profit organizations. He is a catalyst for individual and organizational growth and change. His model of coaching is brief in duration, active and direct in delivery, and focuses on measurable bottom-line results.

How is it different from psychotherapy?
Coaching is not therapy. Although Scott is trained and licensed in psychotherapy, he does not engage in the practice of psychotherapy with coaching clients. Psychotherapy differs from coaching in that psychotherapy generally deals with emotional or behavioral difficulties, and/or past painful situations. The goal of therapy is to assist clients to health. Coaching helps clients build on a base of healthy functioning to enhance their leadership effectiveness.

How does it work?
Coaching can take place in person or on the phone. You and your coach will schedule regular forty-five minute sessions for discussion. Email and fax are additional methods of keeping in touch inbetween sessions and assist in answering questions or for between session assignments. Assessment tools may be used to help evaluate & set goals. Coaching is targeted, supportive and usually of a short duration.

Pricing
Individual forty-five minute coaching sessions with extensive email and fax support are $250. The initial session is at least one hour long and is conducted in-person whenever possible to help you and your coach assess your goals and plan the coaching process. A complimentary professional assessment is completed at your convenience during the first week to help you objectively determine your strengths and key areas for potential improvement. Additional assessments are available at contracted rates.
