The Rapid Plant Assessment (RPA) was created by Dr. Eugene Goodson of the University of Michigan Business School. During leadership of Toyota supplier Johnson Controls, Dr. Goodsen found that he needed a tool to discipline his observation of customer, supplier and competitor operations.
His unique assessment isolates Lean attributes that can be seen on a plant tour. The resulting data may be used to guide the priority of Lean implementation and to benchmark your plant against a world class Lean standard.
