This workshop is designed to equip process improvers across our industry. It will prepare printers, suppliers, prepress, and end users, to understand how to maximize profitability from production and administrative processes. The course focuses its practical components on the flexographic printing process for flexible packaging, envelopes, labels, cartons, and corrugated production. Participants learn the essential tools of Lean implementation.
Classroom learning is balanced by daily field study where experience is gained in plant benchmarking, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Workplace (5S, 7S), and Kaizen event management. They also learn how to best use their leadership skills to ensure lasting success. The focus is on results so participants build action plans and are teamed with coaches. Lean certification (level one) is awarded only when the action plan's implementation is successfully completed.
